As society develops, challenges appear and extend up to that point where it is up to men and women such as you to seek solutions, and pursue equality on all grounds. Always aiming for the path of impartiality, justice needs to be ensued and respected. Currently, it may seem impossible to achieve such utopian grounds of fairness and righteousness, but with the rising generation, composed by individuals who possess qualities such as leadership, objectivity, and intelligence, a revolution shall come, and values will be able to be implemented in a worldwide scale.
Through this year’s Model of United Nations, you shall be able to develop such skills, so one day you may achieve to provide the world a better tomorrow. With this introduction, I, Mariana Aguilera, chair of this committee, along with my co-chairs Ana Paula Fratini and Isabel Mireles, welcome you to WAMUN 2016.
The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) is the UN agency recognized for the coordination of United Nations environmental activities, along with assisting developing countries in their implementation of environmentally sound policies and practices. Together, we shall review two topics that pose great concern for the international community as a whole, regarding matters by which this committee was first established.
WAMUN delegates are expected to conduct further independent research, so it is advisable to inquire the given issues, so the level of preparation for the committee can be overall outstanding. This way we may experience the exceptional committee I, as your Chair, know you can provide for yourselves
